We’re happy to announce that Urbit is now in open developer beta.
We just put up a brand new https://urbit.org with https://urbit.org/docs that have been completely reworked. Curtis’ talk at LambdaConf is up here: And we had some lively discussion on HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=11817721.
In our opinion, the latest Hoon docs are actually good enough for an average programmer to learn Hoon. Check them out and tell us if we're wrong, ideally on :talk in ~doznec/urbit-meta. Or on urbit-dev: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/urbit-dev. Or on Twitter: https://twitter.com/urbit_.
We’re also getting ready for our first crowdsale of Urbit address space. More on that in the coming days. In the meantime, you can get familiar with the address space and identity model here: http://urbit.org/posts/address-space/.
