ld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/opt/local/lib'

i'm still new to unix in general, and I don't know how to even proceed at
this point

Google led me to delete my build paths
(http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9458739/ld-warning-directory-not-found-for-option)

but this is in the context of xcode and just doesn't seem like the right
answer

I believe that’s just a warning and can be ignored. I think I see it every time I build, but I never thought to worry about it.

Are you having trouble running?

I thought that there had been a continuity breach and i git pulled/make. Make stopped there on that warning. Running make again gives me 'nothing to be done on default' and i think i created a new pier but it says "cant read test record" when i try to load it. If you have advice for me (like delete the whole thing, clone again, etc, i can do that tomorrow and post results)

if you get `rest: can't open record (...)` you need to create the pier
first, ./bin/urbit -c pier-name

not sure about `can't read test record`
