[urbit] Bad syncs sink ships

Resumed my laptop after going out, got a sync from ~zod. Slow reload but it
went through fine...except now I can't talk to ~doznec. `|hi ~doznec` never
gets an ack, while `|hi ~zod` does. I posted "test post" and "test post 2"
to :talk but never got them back. Oddly, I was able to communicate with
~doznec after the sync at least for a little bit because I got a %sess-ask
from visiting doznec.urbit.org but I don't know if it just ignored my
response.

I ^Z'd and restarted the pier, which made it sync *a second time* including
reloading all the vanes, but I still can't talk to ~doznec. Restarting a
third time didn't make it sync a third time, though. Any ideas, or do I
just blame ames for dropping an event somewhere?
