Here's a man page for a Unix command I would like to have. The basic idea
is to allow you to use Urbit's nice features without having to leave the
cozy environment of Unix. Urbit can be just another command in a pipe.

Of course, the actual pier is running somewhere in the background. It
could even be running on a remote server, with the commands sent over the
network (probably through an ssh tunnel).

This doesn't exist yet, so I'm curious (1) would you find this command
useful, and (2) what else would y'all would like to see in such a command?

This is a really cool idea, Philip, and I think it's a good one, as well.
It makes it really easy for norms to stick a toe in the Urbit world. Easy
onramps are a good thing.

1) Yes, as it would make it easier to run haxzap'd Hoon scripts from within
a shell.

It definitely makes it easier to make service bridges. Could write an IRC bridge with ii that sends to %talk, or even email.

I'm curious how you would get information out of it, though. Pokes don't return anything, and there is no source arg for app subscription. I suppose the `api` stuff would handle that?
